Dis-covery is an exhibition that broaches three ideas: island life, artistic romanticism and romantic ideas of islands and island culture. Curator Colin Langridge has selected artists whose works reveal aspects of islands and island culture and that provide a critique of romantic notions of the island.

The artists all have lived on islands and have made artworks that reveal how they have experienced something beyond the brief island experience of the tourist or visitor. The exhibition will present both new and existing artworks.

Artists: Lindsay Seers (UK), Samuel Tupou, Sanja Pahoki, Tim Silver & Brian Robinson (Australia), Raymond Arnold, Diane Allison & Amanda Shone (Tasmania), Shigeyuki Kihara, Serena Giovanna Stevenson & Tony Whincup (Aotearoa/New Zealand)
